Restaurant Thir13en

Wow. Impressed. Blown away. In love 😍. Holy canoli. This place was way good! I was so happy with my decision to take 18 people here, mmhmm. So if you're a fan of small bites with a bit bigger entree sized this is your place, however it is NOT in San Francisco, it's in downtown Sacramento, but wow this place is good! The name gives it away, 13 out of 10 from
me! Maybe even more than that! I love the fact that they serve paper thin slices of cucumber in their water, not so plain, no Siri! Their pasta is handmade, I do not eat gluten, however it looked fantastic! They're known for their mac'n'cheese! Too bad I could not savor that! But I did devour my steak! Perfectly cooked, salted and TASTY as HELL! The small warm salad being covered by the delicious steak was lightly dressed artichoke hearts, who could resist-- I mean we all work so hard to get to the heart is like frustrating but when it's done for you it's like BOOYAH! Anyways we did not touch dessert but I'm sure that was awesome! All around happy and price is bomb. Thank you Sacramento for feeding me well!

Been too long...

Hello for anyone who is reading! It's been forever and a day! Been so busy! I've taken on this new love for two things; cooking and second being more trendy! It seems to be working. Fashion is a passion, and food feeds the brain-- another inspiration of this blog. What's been cooking you may inquire; food obviously.... Ha not just any type of food, the good stuff! From honey garlic chicken to Israeli couscous to kabobs, you name it I can make it! The individuals subjected to eating my mounds of food don't seem to mind inhaling every last bite... Makes me feel like I'm the next iron chef! I fact that could be me! Now..

As for fashion, I think of it as a hobby, planning out my outfits some inspired from Pinterest. Others from my mind, sometimes I even dream them! It's crazy! On that note, I enjoy looking presentable to the world I so gladly am a part of. It's something about looking super awesome, it makes you feel better about yourself, and you get so many put-ups (complements) it makes you feel even better! Enough of that take a peak-- reminder this set of pictures is iPhone 5 quality, will make sure to do a better job of capturing these with my DSLR 😳

I hope you stay tuned and u will do a better job at posting more frequently 😘👍

The groovy grove

This place is amazing. As I sit here enjoying my warm bowl of vegetarian chili, enjoying the ambiance of a very distinct San Francisco local hot spot. Everyone seems to be super happy, enjoying their tall glasses of what appears to be some type of Ale or their girly glasses of mimosa-- yummy! I've been here before, however coming alone is an entirely different experience, I get some time to myself, holy shit, so unheard of... I love this place actually, they've never disappointed me, and now they've conveniently added a new location right in SoMa super awesome!

Everything here is locally grown, or produced which makes it worth, every dollar I've ever dished out to these people. And another plus is, THEY SERVE EGGS ALL DAY! It's like they know me! However, in attempt to try new things, I got the chili! BAMMM (as emril would say) it was awesome! The bowl is just enough for a meal! Gosh, I wish I wasn't on a diet and could eat that delicious apple pie I'm currently drooling over!

This place gets 5 stars from me-- quick, affordable, delicious, local products, great service, helpful staff, BOMB.COM

Until next time....

I HAVE A DREAM..

Dr. Martin Luther King, what a powerful person. If it weren't for him, standing up and believing that this nation could change, we'd probably be living in segregation, which personally is a disgusting society. MLK once said, "The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy" wow, I feel as if he predicted himself, in some ways. Change is among one of the greatest things to live through, I am fortunate enough to reap the benefits of the changes MLK made for us today.

I hope you all have a great day, and remember who has helped change you're life today.

RIP Martin Luther King JR.

Lunch is served!

Pancakes for lunch? I think yes, the healthy type to be exact... Yes, I know it sounds unappetizing, well after a few tries I think I got it right... Not approved by the kids I nanny, but I thought they were decent! Here is the healthy version:
1 1/2 cup of old fashion oats
8 oz of low fat milk
1 egg
1 egg white
A dash of vanilla

Wisk it up and microwave it to heat the oats so they cook a bit! Once you've ladled the first pancake add a little touch I did one with blueberries---even more healthy, WOW!
Surprisingly, they were pretty delicious with a little dab of honey since they were a little blahhh! All in all a pretty good experience, even though they were a bit boring and lacked taste but hey, got some good fiber and other healthy stuff...
